An AML rules engine you tune yourself, across screening and monitoring

Thresholds, matching and segments you can read, test on your own data, and change yourself.

How it works

Trusted by 130+ financial institutions across 30 jurisdictions

An AML rules engine is the logic that decides which customers and transactions raise a screening or monitoring alert, and when. In many compliance teams, that logic belongs to someone else: a threshold change becomes a ticket, and while it waits for a vendor release, the same customer alerts again next month.

Change your own AML screening flows (matching, lists and segments) and monitoring scenarios (thresholds, time windows, segments and alert suppression) with Salv. Every change is drafted, tested against your own history without creating alerts, and made current only when you choose.

Tune screening thresholds and monitoring scenarios, not just one of them

Screening and monitoring are often run by different teams against different numbers, but the control works the same across both. In a screening flow, set the matching type and fuzzy threshold field by field, the lists, and the segments it runs on. In transaction monitoring, change a scenario's thresholds, time windows and lists without rewriting it, starting from the library and adding your own.

Both read the same customer risk, and a shared list such as high-risk countries updates every scenario that uses it.

Test a change to your AML rules engine against your own history first

Run a draft screening flow against your historical customers and transactions to see the alerts it would have raised, how many would have closed automatically, and how many would have reached review. Monitoring scenarios are tested the same way, on up to a year of your own history. What you tested is exactly what goes live.

See what your logic was on the day in question

Every change is a new version with a required note, and history records who changed what and when. Permissions keep configuration separate from alert work, and you can require a second person's approval before any change takes effect.

The same control model runs on the fraud side: see the fraud rules engine.

AML tools that work together

  • Monitoring
Scenarios you can read, test on your own data and change yourself. Watch payments, customers and counterparties, for AML and fraud.
  • Screening
Screen customers and payments against sanctions, PEP and adverse-media lists, with matching you configure and lists Salv keeps current.
  • Alert and case management
When an investigation grows, it becomes a case. Bring the related alerts, customers and payments together and work it from one place as a team.
