Customer risk scoring you can explain, rule by rule
Customer risk rating on weighted rules built around your framework. Kept current as the facts change, feeding the monitoring and screening that act on it.
Trusted by 130+ financial institutions across 30 jurisdictions
Customer risk scoring software turns what you already know about each customer into a risk level under your risk-based approach. It's how a compliance team decides which customers get closer attention, and shows why. The arithmetic matters: a risk rating your team can't follow line by line is one you can't defend to a supervisor.

How a customer's risk score is built with Salv
Score each thing you hold about a customer as low, medium, high or unacceptable. Each score is weighted and added up, and the total places the customer in one of the risk levels you define, with as many steps between low and unacceptable as your framework needs.
One rule can still decide on its own: if any rule returns unacceptable, so does the customer, whatever the total says.
Rules can draw on customer and transaction data, plus what the rest of Salv already knows: custom lists, monitoring alerts, screening tags and how attributes have changed over time.
AML risk assessment software built to your framework
Set the factors, weights and level ranges yourself, rather than inheriting someone else's model. Build rules to your own risk framework during setup, from a library or from scratch. You also decide which checks each level drives and which override reasons analysts can give.
Every rule keeps draft, current and archived versions, so you can always show which rule was in force on a given date.
Every score explained, every change on the record
Open any customer to see which rules set their level. Risk history shows every change: the old and new level and score, when, why and by whom. Analysts can move a customer up or down a level with a reason from your list and a comment, and the override holds through later re-scores until someone ends it. A customer's risk history can be exported at any time.
Send customer and transaction data by API or file upload from your own systems and your KYC provider, and Salv does the scoring.
The level drives the checks that act on it
Put the risk level to work straight away. Monitoring scenarios and screening flows can use both the level and the score behind it, so when a customer's risk rises, what your team looks at changes too, rather than sitting in a report. Alerts land in the queue your team already works. Fraud and AML teams read the same level, and every change sends a webhook to your systems.
Kept current as the facts change
Scores update in the background whenever something relevant changes: a customer record is created or updated, a transaction lands, a monitoring alert is raised or changes status, a screening alert is confirmed as a true positive, or a risk rule or one of its inputs changes.

Banks know what the problems are, but Salv worked out how to really solve them. And it's not just in money laundering and terrorist financing, it's also been useful in fraud prevention.

With Salv's risk scoring tool, we can assess and manage customer risk, uncover high-risk patterns, and do so in a short time. As for transaction monitoring, we were able to cut the number of false positives significantly.
Specifically, we were looking for better rule implementation, reporting, and integrated customer risk scoring. Salv ticked all the boxes. Using Salv has helped us to significantly improve our team's efficiency.
The transparent UI makes Salv's transaction monitoring convenient and easy to use. It has a clear structure that allows us to add and modify rules using our own criteria.

Customer risk scoring software FAQ
Each rule scores one data point about the customer. The score is multiplied by the rule's weight, the results are summed, and the total is compared against the risk-level ranges you set. Any rule returning unacceptable decides the level on its own.
Customer data, transaction data, custom lists, monitoring alert counts and outcomes, tags from screening results, and how a customer's attributes have changed over time — all from the data you already hold in Salv.
Yes. An analyst can move a customer up or down a level, giving a reason from a list you set and a comment. The override holds through later re-scores until someone ends it, and every override is listed for a full audit trail.
